Holiday Letter From Patient Mom

1 Comment 12 December 2012

We are proud to share this beautiful letter from Angelica Flores, a Plastic and Craniofacial patient’s mom.

Mom and Daughter

Araceli and her mom Angelica Flores

This holiday season brings to mind the past two years that the team at Children’s Medical Center has been involved in our lives. When my daughter was diagnosed with a cleft lip, the reassurance from Dr. Kane and his team was so helpful that we were able to put most, if not all, of our worries aside.

From the first visit we felt nothing but caring and understanding, and we felt like our baby was in the most capable hands. Dr. Kane and his team have always made us feel like part of their team family. They have been there with answers to questions we didn’t know to ask and with smiles and kindness the moment we step through the door. The attention they show my daughter to make her feel so very special  is so comforting. We, too, have now come to think of them as a part of our lives and family.

I will always be grateful for the care and support they show us each and every visit. I am a constant advocate for this team and hospital. I belong to a Cleft Support site and every chance I get  I share our experiences and milestones and recommend Dr. Kane and Children’s Medical Center. I never thought we could find this kind of overall care and support once we found out about the diagnosis.

So to Dr. Kane and the team at Children’s Medical Center, we are forever grateful and thankful for all you have done for us and continue to do for our little girl. We know we have the best support team there is. Thank you!
